Sausage caulk guns load flexible foil packs instead of cartridges. A typical pack holds 20 oz of material, compared with 10 oz in a standard cartridge, so you reload less often and throw away less packaging on big jobs.
Match the gun to the material and pack size. The 420AL (12:1) takes 20 oz packs of silicone, acrylic and latex. The 620AL (18:1) runs sausage, bulk and cartridge material, including polyurethane, hybrids, firestop and construction adhesive, and is also sold in kits with cones, spatulas or a ladder hook. The 634AL (18:1) takes 30 oz (900 ml) packs of the same heavy-bodied materials. The 720AL-DT (12:1 / 26:1) switches ratios on 20 oz packs of thin or thick material.
